Barb Graham sings the "delicious" tenor part. In the organization since 1984, Barb has won a Regional blue ribbon and competed at International twice before winning with S.A.S.S. in 2010. Her boy cat, Stella, is the quartet mascot, and her husband, Brent, is the quartet's favorite coach and arranger. With her great guacamole and fabulous cookies, she is officially in charge of the care and feeding of the quartet - and we like it that way!
Mauri Deer jumped into the deep end by singing a "luscious" lead with S.A.S.S. - her first quartet! She sang in show choir in college and just recently started applying her musical talents to Barbershop. One of the "cute ones", Mauri is a new Mom and resident French language expert. She is destined to become a Barbershop superstar - and we're gonna make sure we're along for the ride!
Marni Fox finally started singing the "best" part - baritone - after singing lead in a couple of quartets. Harmony is truly in her blood, as her Mom used to tell about Marni harmonizing as a small child when Mom would sing her to sleep. Singing solos and performing in various choruses never quite scratched that harmony itch until Marni found SAI in 1999 - and we're glad she did!
Amanda Clements always sang the "boy" part growing up with her identical twin, so it's no wonder she sings bass with S.A.S.S. She started Barbershopping in 2003 and almost immediately began singing in her first quartet, Carillon, with Marni on lead. Like her idol, Jim Henry, Amanda is a big voice in a small package - and we love it!
